GuildMestar Update 0.1.5.0 - Exploration Additions


Hello GuildMestars,

Another major update has arrived meaning 0.1.5.0 is now live! Within this update you will find a number of changes primary focused on the expedition experience as well as some much needed graphical changes to the guildhall's surroundings. A lot of this update also exists as back-end functional changes allowing myself more flexibility in the future for providing additional exploration content.

As a secondary note I'd like to talk about the next update as well as the game going forward. The next update to come out will be 0.2.0.0 marking a major release. This release will contain the first entire story arc I am calling Act 1 and will be the first paid update. Up until now all the developed content has been provided free as the demo version of the game and has been building the base of what the final game will be able to provide.

As the development of 0.2.0.0 is a rather large endeavor I am unsure how long it will take so in the meantime expect Developer Insights to continue as well as the occasional potential small update. More information on the price as well as the available platforms will be present closer to 0.2.0.0's release. Thank you once again for all of your support.

- Major -

• Guildhall glow-up! For the past couple updates the guildhall has progressed from being completely in the void, to having a small fence and grass, and now a complete exterior.

• Weather exists... again! For a long time weather has existed and been simulated by the game but was only viewable via the calendar. Now depending on the overall weather impact of each week it will manifest visually and audibly.

• More Exploration options! Exploration has needed an additional layer of interaction for some time now and that time is now. Some event options will now prompt the player to repair items or cook up a meal.

• FISHING! Its finally here, the staple minigame every game needs, cast out your line and reel in your prize for a chance at treasure and rare cooking ingredients.

• Gambling! Face off against other adventurers in games of Shift. Control the majority of the three zones by moving their coin total toward your hidden goal, but be warned your opponent will be doing the same.

• Trees and grass will change color according to the season

• Restored capstone event option related to gambling

• Exploration events now list the party leader's name and conveys the story from their pov rather than first person

• A multitude of spelling / grammar errors have been corrected in exploration events

• Exploration event options with requirements now have a dedicated display area

• Exploration event options can now require coins

Bugs:

• Archwin's items are now once again more random. An issue with the dungeon seeding was causing too many similar items to be created for their shop.

• Adventurers are now correctly repositioned if they are dragged at the beginning of exploration and released without replacing another adventurer's position

• Unique dungeons generated on the first morning of the game now use correctly seeded luck values

• Party Adventurers will now no longer duplicate their limbs occasionally on load...
